Welcome to “V-log”: V for Volunteer, V for Vision

Hi there!Welcome to my V-log — not just a video log, but a volunteer log. The “V” in V-log stands for Volunteer, because this page is all about the journey of those who are making a real impact in the world — not through fame or fortune, but through service, compassion, and global responsibility.

My name is [Your Name], and I am currently a high school student at St. Andrews School. Though I’m still a teenager and not yet eligible to travel abroad as an official volunteer, this is just the beginning. Through this space, I hope to explore and share stories of Korean volunteers who are stepping beyond borders to build a better world — particularly in developing countries where help, hope, and human connection are needed most.

I believe volunteering is not something we do just because we can — it’s something we choose because we care.Every action, no matter how small, has the power to change lives. And even as a student, I know that I, too, can be a part of that change.

Why This V-log?

There are countless stories waiting to be heard.Stories of volunteers who are planting seeds of change in rural classrooms, who are helping young people dream bigger through sports and education, and who are learning just as much as they give.

This V-log is my small contribution to that narrative. It’s a space to highlight the work of Korean overseas volunteers — particularly those involved in KOICA projects and other development initiatives that promote peace, empowerment, and equality. From youth development to physical education, I am especially interested in how we can use education and sports to inspire confidence and build inclusive communities for young people everywhere.

These stories matter because they show what it means to be global citizens. They show that development isn’t about giving handouts — it’s about working alongside, listening, and learning. It’s about mutual growth and lasting friendship.

My Current Role and Future Vision

Right now, as a high school student, I focus on learning and preparing — studying international development, building communication skills, and volunteering locally where I can. But I know that this is just the beginning.

My dream is to join university programs where I can major in international relations, development studies, or sports education, and eventually take part in youth-oriented international service programs. I hope to visit countries where I can work with teenagers like myself, helping to design community outreach programs, organize youth leadership activities, and promote physical education as a tool for development.

Through this, I want to contribute to building inclusive, resilient, and empowered youth communities, especially in areas where education or opportunity may be limited. I believe that young people everywhere deserve access to safe spaces, role models, and tools to imagine a better future — and I want to be part of that change.
