It was happening at the Uzbek State University of World Languages, Tashkent Uzbekistan during the autumn/winter semester 2025.

Taekwondo was introduced in Uzbekistan in the early 1990s after independence and quickly spread from Tashkent with support from Korean instructors. The Uzbekistan Taekwondo Association was established in 1999, and KOICA supported the development of local infrastructure and coaching. Since the 2010s, Uzbek athletes have shown success at Asian and international events. Today, over 300 dojangs and 20,000 practitioners are active. Taekwondo is promoted not only as a sport but also as part of youth education and Korea-Uzbekistan cultural diplomacy. The country is now focusing on Olympic-level training and global recognition.
